Welcome to the Chattanooga Rat Rod Association website.

The Chattanooga Rat Rod Association is an organization of individuals from the tri-state area who build, drive and live the rat rod culture. Our primary focus is fun and education. Education to each other regarding building technique, education to the community about rat rods in general and education to young people about building rat rods.

The Chattanooga Rat Rod Association meets the first Tuesday of each month. We do have a headquarters location at the Full Throttle Rod and Customz Shop but we also like to invite member businesses to host meetings in their location of business. By spot lighting a different member business each month, members are effectively learning the services and products that each member offers to the association.

Our meeting format focuses on the members. Each month a different member will have an opportunity to be a speaker to discuss a topic of his or her choice. Also each month we spotlight a members car or project. This is an opportunity for the members to present their ride in detail to the association. Also each month we provide a forum of open discussion of topics of the members choices. Perhaps a member needs help with a building problem or someone is looking for a hard to find part. This is an open networking time for just about anything.

The Chattanooga Rat Rod Association is very young, but we are already discussing big ideas that could translate into big plans. These ideas include hosting cruise-ins, producing a major rat rod car show, building club projects together, developing a "Take a Part - Leave a Part" program. We are also considering a formal hot rod educational program for high school shop students.

If any of these activities sound interesting to you, you like the rat rod/hot rod scene and you live within a three county radius of Chattanooga, please contact us and attend a meeting for a visit to check us out. We would welcome your visit.
